More free iodine, more germicidal activity In iodine-based formulations, it is the free iodine that acts against bacteria growth. However, conventional teat dips contain only 1-2 parts per million free iodine. But in DeLaval products containing I-tech, there are 6-8 ppm available.

Total Hoof Care – a holistic approach There’s no “silver bullet” for reducing lameness. That’s why we attack the problem from different angles including stall design, mats and coverage, through manure handling, to advice about screening. We call it Total Hoof Care.
Two-step care: first clean, then sanitize Farmers are finding that the new two-step hoof care procedure from DeLaval is reducing lameness. The idea is simple: by cleaning hooves from mud and manure in the first bath, the sanitizer/disinfectant can do a better job in the second bath.

DeLaval detergents – clearly different
Your processor might be the first to know It’s difficult to tell if an installation has been cleaned properly. Traces of minerals, fats and proteins can build up in places you can’t see. This can lead to your processor finding higher counts of bacteria in your milk.
Made at DeLaval It’s a fine balance. If a detergent is too gentle, it won’t clean effectively. If too aggressive, it can damage parts such as gaskets and tubes. But because we know our equipment, we know how to formulate detergents that will do the job.
