Ever since the early days DeLaval has had a secret weapon – Hamra Farm. It has been a constant source of inspiration and it has enabled DeLaval to develop new ways of producing high-quality milk while creating a model farm with the best cows, conditions and equipment. Hamra Farm keeps DeLaval close to its customers – and guarantees an understanding of the needs of their customers on a real, operational level.
Hamra Farm was acquired by Gustaf de Laval and AB Separator in 1894. Today the farm is a subsidiary of DeLaval and run as a separate commercial unit. Apart from milk production the farm lets out properties, has crops, husbandry, plant and equipment, forestry, a gravel pit and a modern conference facility with accommodation. The exhibition hall and the museum offer visitors an opportunity to see the solutions offered by DeLaval.
