At the largest dairy fair in Northern Europe, Agromek, held in Denmark at the beginning of the year, DeLaval was multiply awarded. One award was received for best exhibition layout and no less than two Three-star New Product exhibit awards were given to DeLaval for their DeLaval Voluntary Milking System and the DeLaval foot bath AFB1000.
During the Agromek fair one, two and three star awards are given to new products. The Three-star New Product exhibit is awarded a product or part that has a new operational or constructional principle or a completely new composition or effect. It also has to, in a significant manner, contribute to improved ergonomy/comfort/environment/economy. The award is given to a product or part that the judgment committee, which consist of three groups of farmers, deems to be of the greatest practical importance for the individual farm or for the entire farming sector.
DeLaval received two of the three Three-star awards given at the fair. DeLaval Voluntary Milking system, VMS, was awarded three stars for its capacity to detect blood in milk and the capability of separating milk containing blood from milk not containing blood. Another three stars were awarded to the DeLaval footbath AFB1000 in stainless steel. To prevent cows from slipping a rubber mat is placed at the bottom of the bath that is automatically cleaned, emptied and filled.
On top of this, out of more than 200 exhibitions stands, DeLaval got the award for best exhibition layout. The motivation read, “A very inviting open, light and airy stand. You can find your way around as there are posters, leaflets and several TV-screens where you can orientate yourself about the company’s products. The DeLaval staff addresses the visitors in a friendly and nice manner and their uniforms make it easy to see who belongs to the stand”.
