On average, a cow lies down about 20 times a day to rest. And then gets up as many times to eat, drink and get milked. But if her carpal joints hurt, this natural rhythm will be disrupted.
DeLaval cow mattress M40R encourages cows to follow their natural rhythm thanks to its soft, 30-mm-thick, foam cushion. This leads to more resting, drinking and eating. And that means more milk.
DeLaval M40R is also slip-resistant thanks to a light grip pattern on the top-cover and because the mattress is soft, which allows the cow’s claws to sink into it. This gives your cows the confidence to get up and lie down whenever they need to.
DeLaval M40R offers a high degree of hygiene because it is seamless and does not have joins that trap dirt. A cleaner environment improves hoof and udder health, and milk quality.
The top-cover is made from rubber, is 8 mm thick and provides durable, long-life performance. The specially developed latex foam cushion beneath the top-cover is soft and elastic to give your cows a consistently comfortable resting place.
