DeLaval mains and battery operated units offer different performance levels
For permanent fences we recommend mains operated energizers because they provide higher energy out-put and low running costs.
The choice of energizer depends on the type of animal fenced.
Examples:
- A powerful energizer is recommended for sheep because the lowest wire is not more than 30 cm above the ground. Also, the wool insulates the sheep so it’s less sensitive to electric shocks.
- Horses require relatively low power energizers because the bottom wire is seldom lower than 60 cm.
- For cattle we recommend a medium to strong energizer.
This new generation of DeLaval energizers forefronts its market and follows EU regulations for lead-free production. This new range includes mains, battery and portable energizers.
The energizer housings are produced in solid polycarbonate (PC) material using an in-mould technique to ensure there is no label damage. DeLaval is committed to thorough testing and production within these parameters, to maintain a range of the highest performance energizers available. Our big energizer housings are produced with double connection terminals. This makes it easy to share the unit between two fences or use it for temporary strip-grazing. Highly visible control lamps make DeLaval energizers easy to operate and supervise. The required performance depends on the fence’s length, type of animals and vegetation.

An energizer that offers power for long fences and tough fence conditions with heavy vegetation. The dual power supply system enables you to use mains or battery supply. DeLaval 26K is equipped with light LEDs that provide information about fence conditions and performance. It is prepared for DeLaval fence control unit FCU, an optional remote control via GSM that lets you control the energizer via your mobile phone. |
- Stored energy: 26 J
- Max. output voltage: 9 200 V
- Max. theoretical length: 380 km
- In difficult conditions: 80 km
- Power supply: 230 V mains and/or 12 V battery

For control of the fencing and energizer, with great distances. DeLaval fence control unit FCU communicates with DeLaval energizer 26K via GSM technique, and operates when contacting it to the energizer. |
DeLaval FCU is equipped with optional functions to control the fence by turning DeLaval 26K on and off, with the control of a normal mobile phone.
- Power supplied with 5V from the energizer
- Consumption 350 mA in training mode and 20 mA in resting mode.
