DeLaval stationary mixers SM12 and SM17

For efficient and frequent feeding

Mixed feeding rations give the cow a higher total dry-matter intake and that means higher milk production levels. It also helps ensure cows eat the complete ration instead of just the components they find tasty. The stationary mixer makes it easy to automatically feed several times a day. DeLaval stationary mixer SM12 and DeLaval stationary mixer SM17 provide total high-quality mixing by combining one central, bottom auger with two upper augers. The bottom auger has a special cutting device that efficiently cuts an even and homogenous ration.

DeLaval SM12 and DeLaval SM17 are suitable for use with both total mixed ration (TMR) and partly mixed ration (PMR). In the PMR concept, the concentrate is mainly distributed in feeding stations and the mixed feed in distribution wagons like DeLaval feed wagon RA135. DeLaval SM12 and SM17 can handle a base ration for a group of animals or the whole herd.
