Milking equipment detergents

Protecting your profits

Discuss cleaning with your DeLaval route specialist; they are well trained and know where to look for residues in the milking system. They can advise on how to safely and reliably clean while assisting to minimize related cleaning costs. The following are common soils requiring cleaning:

Acid products remove:

Minerals leave a white/grey chalky film that is best removed with an acid descaler.
Milkstone is a white deposit, comprising layers of fat, proteins and minerals. Ensure that cleaning is conducted using a combination of alkaline and acid products.

Chlorinated alkaline products remove:

Fat has a fatty, oily appearance. It is best removed with strong alkaline products and hot water.
Protein gives a blue, rainbow, varnish-like hue and is best removed with chlorinated alkaline detergent.
Bacteria leaves a red or pink/purple colouring or staining that is best removed with a strong chlorine or acid sanitizer.

Acid and alkaline powder products

In our newly improved range of powder detergents we offer a range of regular powders, and a range of concentrated powders and also the new chlorine-free detergent powder.
