Better cow positioning – greater milking comfort
When you invest in DeLaval herringbone stall 30° you are investing in better cow and cluster positioning, plus the most advanced technology that you can rely on for the long run. This milking parlour is specifically designed to enhance performance and efficiency – helping you achieve higher profit.
Nothing makes more sense than taking the stress and strain out of milking. That is why DeLaval herringbone stall 30° has breast rails that carefully position cows closer to the milking pit. The pit edge is smooth and compact too, allowing you to move closer to the udder for more efficient cluster positioning.
DeLaval herringbone stall 30° comes with a service arm that aligns the milk tube and cluster with the cow’s udder, to simplify handling. By adjusting the service arm height, the milker ensures the best milking position for each cow. This in turn minimizes the chance of kick-offs and helps ensure smooth, trouble-free milking. In addition, the suspended stalls – with deported rump rail – offer maximum milker safety.

The entrance gates to DeLaval herringbone stall 30° are robust and vacuum operated. This helps to maintain smooth cow traffic. The gates can be controlled from any milking point with the simple touch of a button. Wide passages enable the cows to move along easily and the last cow is gently guided into position when the entrance gate closes. The angle of DeLaval herringbone stall 30° exit gates helps ensure cows move in and out quickly. The first cow leaves the parlour without any hesitation, keeping the changeover time to a minimum.
DeLaval herringbone stall 30° features a heavy duty breast rail, adjustable for maximum cow comfort. The breast rail sits snugly on the cow’s shoulder and gently holds her against the rump rail. In this way the udder is in the best, most accessible position for milking. You can also have the breast rail fitted with indexing, enabling you to quickly adjust the cow position for a better milking pit position. No pressure is placed on sensitive areas by the breast rail indexing. You may find this improved milking position invaluable when milking smaller cows.
It is a fact that ergonomic milking provides comfort. It is also a fact that reliable, well-designed equipment is necessary for high level efficiency and productivity. DeLaval herringbone stall 30° is designed to deliver overall operation efficiency – better visibility, excellent cluster positioning and smooth, swift cow traffic.
