DeLaval parallel stall is built to keep your business at peak performance. Hence it features careful detailing, advanced technology and quality material to bring out the best in your milking operation.
Built out of hot-dipped, galvanised steel the parlour is robust and practical. A special safety feature is the kick-guard pipe, which prevents cows from kicking backward and causing injury to the milker. A stainless steel splash guard and manure channel help maintain optimal hygiene.
A smart indexing system lets you move cows closer to the milking pit for milking. A distance of 685 mm between cows, save you time and energy when moving during milking.
A robust air-powered cylinder works the neck rail at times of loading, indexing and exiting. The pit edge is also low and compact, enabling you to maintain an ergonomically correct position while milking. This means you do not bend your back or twist your pelvis. You milk from behind, meaning easy reach and a good view of the udder without any risk.
The comfort and well being of the cows plays a crucial
role in the DeLaval parallel stall design. The neck rail can be positioned in three ways and is designed to fit the cow’s shoulder without placing pressure on sensitive areas. Cows enjoy calm, safe and natural milking in this stall.

DeLaval parallel stall is a high-capacity milking parlour, which means that cow traffic can be intensified.
When the neck rail is in load position, wide lanes and extra space are provided for forward motion, enabling cows to easily turn and enter their stalls. Overlaping sequence gates prevent short loading, meaning each cow walks into the correct stall without hesitation. Indexing moves the cow backwards to the ideal position for milking. Once milking is complete, the neck rail opens and the cows are quickly released. Sequence gates close automatically when the cows leave the stall – ushering the next group in simultaneously to exiting the first.
