Feeding is the largest milk production cost. DeLaval provides systems and products that improve feeding efficiency and animal performance, regardless of existing feeding strategy or farm layout.

DeLaval goat feeder

The gated goat feeder allows up to 60 loose-housed goats to be fed individually without competition. Transponder ear-tags identify each goat for individual feeding, dispensed from a selection of four feeds. The special rear gates eliminate feeding competition within the group. The stations are connected via a bus to the ALPRO™ processor.

DeLaval mixer wagons

With a DeLaval mixer wagon it’s easy to mix a balanced ration independent of the available feed ingredients. Using a mixer wagon in a total mixed ration system offers higher total dry matter intake, faster energy balance after lambing and easy use of by-products or straw in the rations. This can lead to higher milk production with healthier animals and lower feed costs.

DeLaval feed wagon FW100

DeLaval feed wagon FW100/FW200 handles group feeding from an overhead, monorail-mounted wagon and distributes concentrate feed along the feeding table up to ten times per day. Animals can be grouped according to their lactation status and the amount plus type of feed can be adjusted. Both step-by-step and string dispensing systems are available.
