Silicone is supple and smooth. Its mechanical flexibility makes it exceptionally easy to handle. Smooth surfaces and the ability to withstand high or low temperatures make it simple to clean.
Silicone is also strong, lasting at least twice as long as rubber. In extensive tests DeLaval silicone tubing showed extremely high tear resistance and dramatically reduced fat migration tendencies.
DeLaval silicone tubes are available in blue and transparent versions. All silicone milk tubes comply with EU and US food regulations and are marked with two stripes. Silicone air and pulse tubes are also available.
