Stockholm, Sweden (August 25 th 2011) , DeLaval continue their engagement in developing milk production and animal welfare in China. Eleven dairy managers from China visited DeLaval at Hamra Farm in Sweden on August 19th for an introduction program to learn more about dairy farm management. This is an initiative taken by DeLaval, the Swedish University of Agriculture Science (SLU), The Ministry of Agricultural in China, China Agricultural University, BCAG (Sanyuan) and Tetra Pak; the first phase of which started already in 1984.

Kazan, Russia (July 13th 2011). The largest voluntary milking system VMS dairy in Europe and Asia is now poised to become the biggest in the world. The Rakhimovo Farm located in the Russian Federation’s Republic of Tatarstan, has signed an agreement with DeLaval for an additional 16 VMS to grow their existing operations. This investment will result in a total of 32 VMS at Rakhimovo; the farm was ranked among the top dairies for milk quality and animal welfare in the area, according to a report published in 2010[1].

DeLaval International announced today the next commercial installation of the DeLaval AMR™ which will be in Germany. “This is yet another significant step for DeLaval as we enter the German market with the AMR™. This system is a revolution in high capacity milking and what farmers with large herds of 300-800 cows have been waiting for” said DeLaval Vice President Business Area Capital Goods Andrew Turner.

Stefan and Karin Löwenborg have been testing the AMR™ system since April 2010 at their farm in Southern Sweden. They began by milking 300 cows on the industry-first automatic milking rotary and are now moving toward milking 500.
