DeLaval announced today that it will be present at EuroTier this fall, the world’s largest trade show dedicated to agriculture. “Our focus for this edition is Farm Management. Our goal is to create an exhibition display to illustrate how to really bring an entire dairy farm and all its resources together under the same management thought process,” DeLaval Vice President Marketing and Communications Benoit Passard said.

Stockholm, Sweden (June 29, 2012) The focus on silage quality and feed management is increasing within farming. Many farmers aim to raise the profitability by focusing on improving milk yield and quality and the overall health of cows. During the International Silage Conference in Finland, between the 2nd and 4th of July, DeLaval will be presenting results from a scientific trial that the company took part in, which show the benefits of feed management solutions.

In 2011, DeLaval won the bid to supply equipment to the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences´ (SLU) Livestock Research Centre Lövsta, near Uppsala. Yesterday was the grand opening, which was inaugurated by King Carl XVI Gustaf. Other invited guests were Prince Carl Philip and Eskil Erlandsson, the Swedish Minister for rural affairs.

DeLaval International supports Earth Hour and will turn off the lights at DeLaval Headquarters in Tumba, Sweden. DeLaval encourages employees to turn off the lights on Saturday March 31 at 20:30 local time to mark Earth Hour 2012.
