Sustainable Dairy Farming

Sustainable Dairy Farming is a unique DeLaval initiative. It aims to reduce the environmental footprint of farms, while improving milk production, farm profitability and the well-being of the people and animals involved.

A goal that we believe can be achieved by smart technology and services to increase resource efficiency on farm. Or – put another way – support dairy farmers do more with less.

Inspired by environmental challenges it is based on four, interlinked pillars: Environment, Animal Welfare, Social Responsibility and Farm Profitability.

World Dairy Summit 2010:

DeLaval is proud to sponsor the 2010 IDF World Dairy Summit.

A premier industry event, the World Dairy Summit brings together stakeholders to discuss innovative farming practices, the latest research and the hottest topics.

Unique for this year’s summit is the two-day Dairy Farming Conference, titled ‘Sustainability: From Threats to Opportunities.’

On day one, dairy farmers from around the world will share what is being done in the key areas of water and nutrient management, greenhouse gas emissions, soil sciences, carbon fluxes and energy provision. In the evening, the Farmers’ Dinner will keep the discussion going. On day two, participants can visit New Zealand farms to take a look.

The IDF World Dairy Summit takes place November 8-11 in Auckland, New Zealand. Book your ticket now.
