DeLaval Ltd has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic, high-energy and high-performing AMS Sales Manager to join their market area sales team. This is a full-time position based in Hamilton, New Zealand
Reporting to the NZ Sales Manager, you'll ensure the continued growth and success of this market leader, with a focus on exceeding sales objectives. You will be responsible to deliver customer and sales growth to the AMS Product portfolio and enhance the DeLaval brand. This will be undertaken by identifying and developing sales channels, generating leads, achieving sales targets, and contributing to and implementing strategy, planning and promotional activities. Key to this role is close relationships with District field teams and the Solution Manager AMS and analysis to identify opportunities in the market.
More specifically, your duties will include:
- Developing strong and revenue-generating commercial relationships across New Zealand with new and existing users;
- Presentation of sales proposals to prospective buyers.
- Prompt response to all enquiries, thorough follow up, follow through and documentation .
- Actively input into strategic and annual planning activities to ensure AMS is positioned to enhance sales growth.
- Collaborate with District staff and Solution team & Marketing team to ensure successful implementation of AMS promotional activities.
- Developing and managing a sales strategy for your portfolio; and
- Creating an engaging and productive working environment.
The successful candidate will have significant field sales experience, preferable technical sales. A tertiary qualification in Dairy, Agricultural or science related degree would be looked upon favourably, but is not essential. You'll be a strategic thinker and use your marketing and sales management skills to build successful client relationships, and recognise new business opportunities. Experience within the dairy industry or an Agri business will be looked upon favourably.
Relationship management is an integral part of this role, as is a deep understanding of selling methods. As an experienced sales professional, you will be resilient and have the ability to stand up for your product and tactfully overcome objections to close the sale.
Importantly, you'll use your sound negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with all internal and external stakeholders. These skills will aid you in liaising with and motivating DeLaval's administration and sales staff to resolve issues and keep tasks on track.
Intermediate computer literacy along with a solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products is essential to your success.. All applicants must be prepared to travel within NZ , and be flexible enough to leave at short notice, therefore a current driver's licence is required.
