DeLaval Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Specialists. This role will be based in Hamilton, New Zealand but will assist in the coverage of Oceania.
Reporting to the Field Service Manager Oceania your primary aim is to provide responsive service and expert technical assistance for DeLaval assortment; and to provide technical training for staff, dealers and farmers.
While there is no 'typical' day in this position, the tasks you may complete include:
- Resolving technical issues;
- Providing ad-hoc technical support and advice as required;
- Accompanying dealers to farms; and
- Providing training on technical process and new product use.
About the successful candidate
To be successful in this role it is expected you will have;
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification
- Delaval equipment experience is advantageous
- the ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems
- excellent time management skills
- the ability to learn new technologies
- Advanced Interpersonal skills
- technical training experience
- Strong customer service ethos
Your diverse background will include a good working knowledge of and experience in using a wide variety of tools. Having good solid Technical Support experience is desirable as well as a comprehensive understanding of the dairy industry will also be advantageous.
