Do you want to take the lead role in driving the DeLaval Feeding Systems business area in Finland by focusing on marketing, business development, sales support and training in the country local level?

DeLaval is a world leader in the dairy farming industry, providing integrated milking solutions designed to improve dairy farmers’ production, animal welfare and overall quality of life. The company develops, manufactures and markets equipment and complete systems for milk production and animal husbandry worldwide. Service and sales of a wide range of accessories are also key aspects of DeLaval’s operations. The company supplies highly efficient system solutions for milking, herd management, animal traffic control, feeding, cooling, manure handling, ventilation and energy recovery.

 

We are currently looking for SOLUTION MANAGER 

To take the lead role in driving the DeLaval Feeding Systems business area in Finland by focusing on marketing, business development, sales support and training in the country local level. This position is locating in Finland and also works with the respective operating units to maintain existing solutions and assist and participate in future solution development. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop sales tools that can promote the FSY business in Finland
  • Support overall FSY business and provide support with an integrated solutions approach
  • Maintain close relationship and provide direct support to key salespeople
  • Identify and help develop seasonal campaigns promoting solutions to occasional industry challenges that require an opportunistic approach
  • Focus on doing market/industry analysis, gathering competitive data, market share information and developing in-depth knowledge of the industry
  • Do financial analysis of any FSY marketing initiatives
  • Support product development and launches in Finland
  • Support Cluster Solution manager in the development of long-term marketing plans for FSY business
  • Work closely with MarComm team and other Solutions Managers to meet the needs of the marketplace

REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES 

  • Customer/marketing mindset and the ability to drive this perspective within the company
  • Self-motivated/starter who takes ownership of the business
  • Working through and with people in a cross-functional manner, must work well collaboratively and with teams
  • Effective priority management skills – able to prioritize between conflicting demands
  • Demonstrated ability to support the sales team and help drive sales growth
  • Proven ability to quickly develop in-depth knowledge of a manufacturing-based industry
  • Strong communication/presentation skills to groups in sales or training settings
  • Ability to travel
  • Finnish, English at business level 

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND 

  • B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Science, Animal Science or Agriculture
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Technical product marketing experience required (affinity for technology, equipment and devices)
  • Prior experience in marketing/sales is required

Prior experience in dairy, animal husbandry or agriculture is preferred
