Service + VMS Supra Plus = Success
Time, manpower and building space spurred Ferme Denis et Louise Dion S.E.N.C. to find a new way to work. The farm had out-grown its buildings and chores were taking too long and requiring too many people. To combat all this and increase productivity, a brand new barn was built in 2014.
Friendly Acres Relies on DeLaval Service for VMS Success
“If I knew then what I know now, I would have made the change sooner,” says Steve Sondericker of Friendly Acres.
This is Don's Why
Dairy producers like Don Bennink and his Operations Manager Mohamed ElSheikh are big fans of DeLaval robotic calf feeders. From birth to parlor, heifers are healthier.
JTP Farms
Located in Dorchester, WI, JTP Farms is managed by Tom and Jake Peissig. The father and son team milks 250 cows with four VMS™ units that were installed in 2012.
Happy, Healthy Cows Thanks to High-Tech Milkers
WILTON, Iowa - When cows can milk when they want to instead of when farmers get around to it, they're happier and healthier. Voluntary robotic milking systems are popping up at farms in Iowa, especially in smaller operations like Blue Knoll Farms in Wilton where Laura Jones is dairy manager. She said the cows can walk right in and be milked by a robot when they feel the need.
Integrating dairy robotics
The Krejchik family of Portage, WI has been dairy farming for 40 years, but about five years ago they were at a crossroads. Their old parlor was at the end of its productive life and a steady labor supply was a challenge, especially as they wanted to go back to three times per day milking. Joe, his wife Karen and brother Matt were also taking over management of the farm from their parents.
This is the Borchardt’s Why
Briway Farms was the first dairy in Wisconsin to purchase a milking robot in 2008.When they started thinking about converting their existing stanchion barns, most robotic companies asked why. At DeLaval we said why not! After almost a decade, their VMS unit continues to milk the 65 cow herd.
