April 29, 2019 - Award-winning, innovative and knowledgeable are just a few of the words you’ll hear from dairy producers and industry members when discussing Wasnick Bros Dairy Supply, Inc. Bob and Dan Wasnick, co-owners, each have decades of experience in the dairy industry helping their customers achieve their efficiency and productivity goals with DeLaval solutions.
From the start, Wasnick Bros has been dedicated to their customers. Bob Wasnick fondly recalls a time when they simply made business deals with a handshake. Today, contracts have become a bit more involved, but their commitment to their customers remains the same.
When the dealership first started in Tulare, California, a typical area dairy consisted of 200 cows. Wasnick Bros has since grown and adjusted along with their customers, and today serves herds between 1,000-3,000 cows. Their experience serving large herds has given them a leg-up against competition, and has even expanded their business beyond the state lines. Today, three generations of Wasnick family members are involved in the business.
“We’re so proud to call Wasnicks a long-time DeLaval dealer,” says Brian Vieira, DeLaval District Manager in the Western United States. “They exemplify the DeLaval mission of making sustainable food production possible, and it’s a pleasure to work with them on a daily basis.”
The Wasnicks are experts in both new and remodeled dairies, increasing milk production, cow flow and the overall efficiency of the farms they work with. Combining their own experience with the resources they receive from DeLaval, their dealership is able to create simple, low maintenance, clean operations with excellent cow flow. They offer innovative, custom-tailored solutions for dairy design and installation.
“If you were to take a dairy straight out of a box, that wouldn’t work for every farm. We are able to help our customers adapt and make necessary additions to custom-fit resources for their needs,” shares Michael Wasnick. Michael represents the third generation of Wasnick family members involved with the business.
As for the future of the dealership, Bob says he knows the family business will carry on well with the wealth of additional automation knowledge the younger generations are bringing to the farm.
"Our sincere congratulations to the team at Wasnick Bros. on this milestone," Vieira says. "We look forward to an even stronger future with this dealership."
