DeLaval currently has two (2) full time vacancies for a Service Technician, reporting to the NZ Direct Organisation Manager. The positions will be based in the South Canterbury and Otago region in NZ's South Island.
About the Role:
The Service Technician is expected to respond to scheduled and break down milking machine service needs and promote and sell spare parts and preventative maintenance to achieve increased sales, brand presence and market share for DeLaval.
More specifically, your duties will include:
- Respond to customer and potential customer’s queries received by phone and email.
- Schedule routine and irregular maintenance activities to achieve most efficient use of time and resources.
- Provide service or product demonstrations to assist in maintaining customer relations and increase potential for additional sales.
- Perform regular stock takes of stock under your control.
- Maintain an accurate and up to date data base of all customers in area
To be considered for this position, you will have an Electrical or Fitters qualification. Previous experience in the Dairy or Agricultural industry would be advantageous, particularly experience and knowledge in milking machine operation and service. You'll have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with sound knowledge of the sales process whilst having the end customer in mind at all times.
You will have a current valid driver’s license.
